What does the NIHAP do?
The NIHAP supports strong collaboration to improve housing for Nunavut Inuit by working together.
The NIHAP will develop a new Inuit housing entity to ensure the NIHAP actions are coordinated with other governments and agencies.
Collaboration
The new Inuit Housing Entity will ensure funding is used in the best way to improve housing for Inuit. Community members, municipalities, the Government of Nunavut (GN) and the Government of Canada are important partners.
How the NIHAP was developed
Research and discussions among Nunavut Inuit organizations brought together the best ideas to address the housing crisis. Key contributors to the plan were:
